UFC 130

Tomorrow it’s time for yet another UFC event and this time it’s number 130. Should you watch it? Absolutely.

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson takes on Matt “The Hammer” Hamill in the Light Heavyweight division and is a must-win for both fighters in order for them to be able to get a title shot in the coming years. Does Rampage still want that or is he just collecting paychecks the last two years of his career? It remains to be seen. I’d say expect Rampage to win by KO in the very first round.

Roy “Big Country” Nelson takes on Frank Mir in the Heavyweight division in what I consider to be the main event. Nelson has proven himself to be a rising star with insane KO:s and the biggest and fattest belly in the UFC. Frank Mir is struggling to find his personality but is constantly improving and always dangerous both standing up and on the ground. It’s a real tough fight to call as I like both these fighters. If Nelson is unable to win, he more or less will be made into a fighter that’s good, but never made it.

Thiago “Pitbull” Alves takes on Rick “The Horror” Story in the welterweight division and last time we saw Alves he was reborn. Insane form and on a new magical diet that seems to be ideal for him. I have no doubt if we see him as good as last time that he walks out as the winner.

Jorge Santiago takes on Brian Stann in what I believe will be an explosive slugfest that promises entertainment. Will Stann stop talking about his military background and just focus on fighting? I hope so. He is undoubtedly a promising fighter that can rise high in the rankings. Once again a tough one to call, but I think that Stann will pull this one off.

On the preliminary card we have Miguel Torres who in my eyes made a very poor UFC debut. Can he redeem himself this time? I sure hope so. No surprise to see him on the preliminary card after that boring fight.

Despite the championship bout being removed with Edgar versus Maynard, the card is still packed and looks very promising. Don’t miss it, I certainly won’t.

Rampage wants his belt back. Or does he?
