Star Wars: Darth Plagueis

I’ve now finished reading yet another great Star Wars novel, Star Wars: Darth Plagueis. Plagueis, in my eyes, was the wisest and one of the most interesting Sith Lords of them all as he was directly responsible for putting the Jedi on the endangered species list.

The book is written by James Luceno, and he has written a few other Star Wars books as well. I however, had only read Drew Karpyshyn and Joe Schreiber material so I didn’t know what to expect from Luceno, but I am pleased to say that he completely aced it and easily surpassed Joe Scheiber, but so far Drew remains number one.

The book covers the rise of the powerful Plagueis and Sidious and throws in a lot of nice things for the fans such as Qui-Gon and many more charaters that I don’t want to spoil. It takes place many years before Episode I: The Phantom Menace but it does go all the way to the end of it. A lot of information that wasn’t in the movies is covered in the book.

Star Wars: Darth Plagueis is a safe bet for any Star Wars fan and would make a great gift for your geek boyfriend if he happens to like Star Wars. If you don’t like Star Wars though, there’s not much here that’ll change that.
