Global Offensive falls behind classic

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has been out for a few weeks now and I’ve been studying its popularity on Steam and it’s not too good. Though it has managed to beat Source a few times, it still is behind the classical CS 1.6 constantly and never among the top three most played on Steam. However, it’s a very narrow margin that 1.6 exceeds GO so it might just need some more time to grow and more tournaments to launch to get the players behind.

Like I said before, I do enjoy GO although I haven’t gotten to play it as much as I’d like due to Dota 2 and GW2, but it’s a good product for that price. We’ll see what the future holds for GO. It all comes down to community support in the end, regardless of how good or bad a game is.
