UFC’s first event in China is over and it was quite good considering they save majority of their stars for domestic events.
Cung Le vs. Rich Franklin was the main event and it ended rather quickly with Le landing a very clean right hand on Franklin’s chin, knocking him out cold before he even hit the ground face first. Quite nice.
This week we have another UFC event coming up with Georges St-Pierre defending his title against Carlos Condit. GSP, of course coming back from his terrible injury which has kept him out of the competitive scene for almost a year now. Or possibly a little over a year. Is he the same? What about ring rust? What about his knee? Is it truly recovered? This will be the most interesting GSP title defense to date because of this situation I believe. Although the fight itself has the danger of being the most cautious and boring fight in history.
Are you excited for GSP’s comeback? With two events within the span of roughly eight days, it’s a good week to be an MMA supporter indeed.
