Upcoming destinations

January 1, 2013

With the new year officially in it’s time to plan some traveling and experience new cultures. And I have, of course, planned several trips already and have several unconfirmed yet. I’ll share with you my summer plans that are confirmed.

  • New York
  • Fort Lauderdale
  • Las Vegas

Those are my classic three destinations and I love ’em all. I very much look forward to going to Las Vegas for a third year in a row and visit my old college friends and have a blast of a time that only Vegas could deliver. But not to forget the wonderful shopping I will do in New York and the relaxing time I will have on the beach in Fort Lauderdale.

Other than that, I also plan on traveling to at least one new destination within Europe. Where? I don’t know yet. Only time will tell.

My first destination when I arrive in New York. 🙂

Another trip

July 21, 2012

I’m planning yet another trip before this year ends and this one will be within Europe.

I still haven’t decided to where, but it’ll definitely be between two destinations I have in mind. Won’t reveal them just yet, though.

Next year will be full of traveling just like this one, and I might even try a new continent by 2014.

Where have you traveled this summer? Or where will you travel?

Destination: Seoul

April 9, 2012

Time for another of my destination wish list to come up and we are still in Asia. This time it’s Seoul, South Korea that gets the spotlight and it’s also very well-deserved.

For me, Seoul would probably be placed somewhere around top three. So the top is clearly dominated by Asian countries and that’s mostly due to my fascination with their cultures.

Seoul makes my list because it is gamer heaven. They realize that professional gaming is a sport. It is an insanely well-developed country with a fascinating culture and a lot of things to do and see.

Several of my friends have been there and have only spoken good words about it. I can’t wait until I get to see it myself. It’s highly likely that I’ll combine my Japan trip with this one to save time and money. But more on that later on

One day, Seoul, one day I’ll visit you.

Brussels & Luxembourg

March 31, 2012

I’ve returned from my one-week trip to Brussels, Belgium and Luxembourg, Luxembourg and it was a great experience and I am really happy that I went. I won’t upload too many pictures here as the process is dreadful and primitive, but expect at least a few pictures and those who know me can see more of them on Facebook at a later date.

During my visit in Brussels and Luxembourg we managed to visit all the important EU institutions as well as a lot of great law firms. We saw the Parliament, Council, Court of Justice, and Commission. And top tier law firms such as Cleary and White & Case. Overall I am very happy with the visits although I think that they could have removed like one or two of them.

My impressions are a bit mixed of the cities. I definitely prefer Brussels over Luxembourg as it felt more alive and well, more like a city. Luxembourg was this nice quiet place with the upper-class almost everywhere but not really much to see or do after an hour. Except to enjoy life in cafés and so on. Could I see myself working in Brussels? Probably. Only time will tell.

Future Plans: Japan

March 26, 2012

I have a lot of destinations on my travel list. Destinations I absolutely must travel to before I die. I decided I will share some of these, starting with none other than the number one spot.

Japan takes my first place easily. It is a fascinating country with fascinating people and a fascinating culture. Yes, you could say that I am fascinated with Japan. No doubt.

For my Japan trip I have planned roughly 25 nights there in order to be able to truly to all of the things that me and my friend want to do. We’ll most likely spend the majority of the team traveling around to visit Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and more cities are on the list.

I am very excited about this trip. Unfortunately I do not know exactly when it’ll happen, but it doesn’t look like it’ll be this year though. Perhaps 2013? Something tells me that this trip will cost quite a lot.

I very much look forward to wander around and experience Japanese architecture.
