29 million GTA V sold

October 30, 2013

GTA V has broken all records and shattered all expectations. It is the most financially successful entertainment product and it’ll be very, very interesting to see what kind of product it will take to dethrone these achievements.

I myself cannot believe these sale numbers. They are out of this world. Rockstar must be laughing all the way to the bank as they have the next five GTA productions costs covered already thanks to GTA V. Plus some nice bonuses to their personal wallets, of course. And Christmas isn’t even here yet. And the PC version isn’t out yet. Will they break 35 million? I think so.

Congratulations to Rockstar as this success is well deserved for not going with the safe and easy route and making another GTA in Liberty City. The amount of polish and detail in GTA V is unrivaled and they have earned all their records. Once again, congratulations.

Money’s raining all over GTA V.

GTA V generates $1 billion in 72 hours

September 21, 2013

The title says it all. It’s currently the fastest-money maker out there, ever, from an entertainment perspective. I imagine that the Christmas sales will add a few millions to that as well.

Congratulations to Rockstar, well deserved. The game is absolutely fantastic and if you are the only person out there who hasn’t bought it, be sure you do. You won’t be disappointed.

Hot biki babes with smartphone sell games. It’s proven.

GTA V is… masterful

September 18, 2013

I’ve now spent several hours with Grand Theft Auto 5 at my friends house and I must say, I am in love.

The amount of details, jokes, dialogues, quality, polish, variety and well, about everything in this game is without competition. Rockstar are operating on a different level and I have never been as impressed by dialogue in games as much as this. They really feel authentic.

Also, the side things you can do such as watch cartoons is amazing. I spent like 20 minutes watching a cartoon hero called Impotent Rage and it was hilarious. The satire of the modern American lifestyle is perfected through and through.

GTA 5 is a special gem of a game. If you haven’t bought this game, do it. It looks to be the best console game I’ve ever played.

I spend way too much time and money at strip clubs.

What does 2012 hold?

December 14, 2011

Indeed, what does 2012 hold for gamers? Well, as it looks now, it might contain the best year ever for gamers. It has legendary and godlike titles coming out. I list my favorite picks.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Buffed up Counter-Strike: Source graphics with matchmaking, ranking, leaderboards and new gameplay mechanics, items, and esport features. Honestly, that’s just an instant win and my money right there. I’ve seen what nice features Valve threw in to the Dota 2 beta and I cannot wait to see how this game will look and how big of a community support it’ll get. Oh, and it won’t be fully priced either and will be digital online with cross-platform play. This is one title that I will not miss.

Dota 2

Though it feels like I should be writing Dota 1.5, this game will still offer thousands upon thousands of hours of entertainment and receive enormous esport and community support, making this a game to look out for. If you want to make that Internet money and become a cyberlegend, you’ll need to be wicked sick in Dota 2. And your teammates as well. I will no doubt buy this game and look to pwn some noobies along the way and get pwned by no-lifers that farm League of Legends and Heroes of Newerth ten hours/day until this game comes out.

Guild Wars 2

For the first time the Guild War franchise finally becomes a true MMO and not some instanced crap like the first game. And you can jump. Massive bosses, raids, and PvP focus are the selling points for Guild Wars 2 and those all sound very good. In fact, everything about the game sounds good. Almost too good to be true. It’ll be highly interesting to see whether the game delivers on half of all the amazing promises ArenaNet has promised, because if it does, it could be one of the greatest things ever released. Oh, did I mention they’ll have a partnership with the ESL to have paid esport tournaments as well? Sweet.

Diablo III

I’ve waited easily over 10 years for this game. Next year is the year I get to play the full version as I’ve only tried the beta thus far. And I am excited. It’s a Blizzard title, afterall. How can I not be excited when all their games that launch are the definition of perfection? Even though the beta felt a tad slow and different than I expected, I am certain it’ll be a game that I spend too much of my time on when it comes out. I can’t wait to gear up my Barbarian and dominate the PvP arena and try the new Inferno difficulty and farm Diablo over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over…. and over… Diablo must be the only franchise where I don’t mind repetitive grinding, I don’t even think I can count how many times I did Chaos Sanctuary runs or Baal runs, but still, Blizzard has said it’ll be significantly more varied in Diablo III.

And now the console boys are crying because all the listed games are meant for the PC. Even though I most likely won’t game any console games next year, it’s a bright year for consoles as well. Though the titles have no weight or chance against the above-mentioned titles, there are some interesting games such as Street Fighter x Tekken, Bioshock: Infinite, Mass Effect 3, Grand Theft Auto V, and Halo 4 coming out. Indeed, it looks like the best year ever for gamers.

The Lord of Terror returns.

GTA V Trailer Out Now!

November 2, 2011

The new trailer has just been shown and it was as I could reveal earlier on: the game will take place in Los Angeles, or as they call it, San Andreas and Vinewood (Hollywood).

Overall the trailer was unimpressive and didn’t show anything that really “wow:ed” me so to speak. But it did show some nice graphics for the city as I had last seen it on the original Xbox, this was an improvement.

But enough of me talking. Check out the trailer for yourself right here.

GTA V Announced

October 25, 2011

Rockstar have finally announced their next installment of Grand Theft Auto and we have no idea what it’s going to be about. Or do we?

Actually rumors and resumes from former voice actors, actors, and staff members are all pointing toward the same thing: Vinewood, Rockstar’s Hollywood. So it would be in similar fashion to San Sandreas, one of the most praise and loved GTA games of all time.

What do you think? Good or bad? My dream city for GTA would be Tokyo. Japanese school girls and Yakuza. Sounds good to me!
