Breaking Dawn: Part I

Today’s the premiere of Breaking Dawn: Part 1 in Sweden, and I had to see it on premiere day, of course. Yes, there are actually guys watching these movies as well. Why not? I even read the books.

Breaking Dawn: Part 1 makes perfect sense from start to finish if you read the books. Maybe it’s slightly shorter than book in terms of what they cover but all vital things are there with only minor differences that do not take from the experience. It was a good choice splitting this movie into two parts as it would have been a four hour movie otherwise, and that’d make it hard to sell and include all the things.

Since the obvious name indication that there’ll be two parts, I knew exactly where this movie would end, and I was right. I’m not going to spoil anything, because I feel that the trailer does an excellent job of doing it. I mean, if I hadn’t read the books, I’d be pretty pissed off at the official trailer.

To me, Breaking Dawn: Part 1 was probably the best movie in the series yet, although I truly liked all of them and enjoyed them very much. I would encourage reading the books are they are more in-depth and offer more story and explanations, but I know the books don’t have Jacob’s eight-pack so a lot of you don’t care.

If you enjoyed the previous movies, you’ll love this one as well. It’s great, and takes everything a bit farther and more serious. Entertainment and and excitement on high levels, especially if you haven’t seen the trailer or read the books.

I’m not going to rate movies based on books anymore as they are limited to follow the books in terms of content and story. Therefore, it’d be unfair the movies themselves and competitors that are innovative.

New Moon

Bok två av fyra färdigläst i Twilight-serien, och jag måste säga att den var ofantligt mycket bättre än filmen. Serien i helhet växer på mig ännu mer, och det blir bara bättre och bättre. Har dock hört att den fjärde boken inte håller samma klass, men det återstår att se vad jag anser om det sen.

Jag har redan börjat att läsa Eclipse, den tredje boken i serien. Precis sådär lagom inför att filmen släpps i sommar. Tror att det blir bättre om jag läser boken före att jag ser filmen, samma gällande Breaking Dawn. Dessutom så måste jag erkänna att jag vill se vad som händer med Bella. Så det blir att fortsätta med Eclipse hela veckan ut. Före filmen denna gång. Tror att det blir bäst så.

Twilight påbörjat

Jag har läst klart den tredje Dexter-boken. Det tog mig faktiskt bara två-tre dagar att dra igenom cirka 302 sidor plus en epilog. Och jag måste säga att den andra Dexter-boken fortfarande är den överlägset bästa. Faktum är, att den tredje nog var den sämsta Dexter-boken jag läst. Det betyder inte att det var en dålig bok, tvärtom, som en bok var den mycket bra och spännande. Fantastisk läsning, men i jämförelse med de föregående Dexter-böckerna så kändes den inte lika underhållande.

Eftersom Dexter är färdigläst, så blir det numera för mig att påbörja Twilight, följt givetvis av New Moon, Eclipse och Breaking Dawn. Jag har läst cirka 20% av Twilight, och jag måste säga att det är mycket bra än så länge. Betydligt bättre än filmen, och jag vill verkligen hinna med att läsa klart Eclipse innan jag ser filmen i sommar. Men, det borde inte vara ett problem i detta tempo. Twilight borde vara färdigläst i den kommande veckan, och New Moon påbörjad. Har samtliga som Ebooks på min Iphone, så det underlättar läsning rejält då jag kan läsa “on the go” så att säga.
