Fitness: Beginning your workout

March 13, 2013

It’s time for yet another fitness entry, and this time it’s for newcomers aiming to begin with their workout routines for the first time. It can be scary and difficult, so I thought I’d try to help with that.

All right, here are some basic guidelines I’d advise you to setup before beginning with your workout:

  • Set a clear and, I cannot stress this enough, realistic goal for yourself. What do you want to look like? How much weight do you want to lose or gain?
  • Estimate your daily caloric intake for either gaining weight or losing weight. You need to know this in numbers so you can see how much you are overeating by.
  • Fill in your data (height, weight, etc) to help you determine that caloric intake and also to help you put it into perspective. Sure, it can be depressing to see how much overweight you are.
  • Read training forums, blog posts and articles to get you started with a routine. Talk with people who workout and they will give you tips and you can check other people’s routines out as well.
  • Celebrities have excellent workouts for women. I mean this in terms of easiness to follow, women have it much easier than men. One I’d recommend for women is JWOWW’s routine.
  • Buy your gym membership immediately. Do not procrastinate, because that will inevitable result in not going at all and delaying your results. If you buy it instantly, you will feel obligated.
  • Never cheat. If you cheat your training, you only cheat yourself. And remember: the only thing in life that won’t let you down is your training.
  • Use whatever inspirational sources you deem fit. Hot girls? Hot guys? Fat girls? Fat guys? Whatever works for you, use it for that extra push.

Those are my quick and easy tips for beginning your workout. Next entry will focus on nutrition more. Feel free to share your own routines and tips.

What would you rather look like? The first two pictures, or the last two? The choice is entirely up to you and no one else.

Fitness Tips: Diet Pills

February 26, 2013

I am going to start a new series of entries focused mainly on women’s fitness but most of it could be applied for men as well if what they seek is to get slim. I noticed a lot of feedback on my previous posts that focused on that, so I feel as if I have large userbase in that area and want to give it more entries.

In this entry I want to focus on diet pills and I have been getting a lot of questions regarding them and if they work or not and everything in between. Well, first and foremost: yes and no. A lot of people have a very, very flawed view on diet pills and what they achieve with them so I want to break it down clearly.

All diet pills are marketed in a special way. If you read the fine print clearly it states that the advertised results were in combination with an exercise routine and a healthy diet. They do not under any circumstances claim that these pills magically will make you shred weight, because that’s NOT true, those pills by themselves have zero effect on your weight loss. What they do though, some of them, is to pump you full on caffeine and perhaps slightly lower your appetite, hence making you lose weight indirectly. But keep in mind, even that is with exercise and diet.

Therefore ladies, do not waste your money on diet pills. Their effects are sluggish at best and promote a very non-healthy attitude. The key to losing weight is simply eating less, exercising more resulting in caloric deficit. It’s truly that simple and I will post detailed routines/diets in the future focused on exactly that.

To sum it up: no, diet pills will not make you lose weight directly. You’ll have to work for that, both physically and mentally.

There are so many diet pill brands and it surprises me that people fall for them still.

Two new PWO

January 10, 2013

I’ll be reviewing two PWO:s shortly and then make a complete list of how I considered they boosted my performance and what they did or didn’t do. Expect more in a few days once I’ve given them both a fair shot.

My first PWO I ever tried.

C4 Extreme

January 6, 2013

I recently ordered a new PWO supplement called C4 Extreme. I’ve never tried this product and it has been getting insane praise from all over and even crowned as “newcomer of the year” last year. So it definitely feels promising.

I know, I know. Didn’t I bash PWO:s in one of my posts? Absolutely. Jack3d will likely be far superior in every sense of the way, but it’s still illegal here so I can’t get it. Besides, this will allow me to expand my knowledge base and provide impressions on a new PWO for y’all so it’s all good.

It should be arriving in 2-3 days and my impressions will follow no more than 2-3 days followed by that. Any of my readers have any experience with C4 Extreme? If so, what did ya think?

Will this PWO finally break my bias towards me?

Keeping your resolutions

January 1, 2013

A lot of people have that classical “I am going to get in shape this year” resolution and if I told you how many don’t keep it it’d be discouraging. Instead, I’ll try to help you keep it. Here are something you should know and some things you should not expect/do.

  • It takes 90 days to make it into a routine. (Roughly, keep doing it and your brain will be locked in.)
  • Don’t expect quick results. There are no shortcuts and results come over time through dedication and persistence.
  • Don’t give up because you aren’t seeing results in the first two weeks. Like I said, it takes time. Stay at it. Even without results working out is healthy.
  • Buy that gym membership immediately. Don’t postpone it. If you do, you will most likely never buy it. If you bought it, you will at least feel like you’re wasting a lot of money if you don’t go.
  • Don’t go in and do it for the results. Do it because you want to feel healthy and well. Don’t go in just doing it for the result, that way you will fail and have a dull time.
  • Only you can make yourself go. Nothing I say or anybody else for that matter, will make you go. You have to want it. If you cheat, you only cheat yourself.

There you have some quick and good tips in my opinion that should be followed. Feel free to share your own in the comment section.

If you don’t enjoy it, it will be extra difficult to do it.

Squeezing boobs is healthy

December 20, 2012

New studies show that squeezing boobs is healthy for the woman getting the squeezed as it helps cell growth and holds back dangerous cells from developing.

So ladies, make sure you either squeeze them yourself or get a boyfriend to do it for you on regular basis. Health is very important!

Squeezing breast is now healthy. Don’t know about that drawing though.

Pre-workout supplements

December 15, 2012

I thought I’d share some of my wisdom and tips for working out once again as those posts are the ones that seem to be praised the most and receive most attention.

With this post I’d like to focus on the pre-workout supplements also known as PWO. These products cost a lot of money and claim to take your training to new levels and better results. However, I’ve tried several of them and done thorough research and have come to one conclusive realization about them.

Let’s get it out of the way immediately: all legal PWO supplement products are bullshit. There. I said it. They are filled with caffeine and some of them even have sugar to give a momentary boost and can cause some minor addictions in the sense that “if I don’t take it anymore I’ll be weaker now” and that’s just not good at all. In fact, the boost you get in terms of gains and energy is also very much psychological. I am no longer using any PWO:s because like I said, the legal ones are really bad and I feel they are a waste of money.

So what can you do instead when you want that boost for your workout? Well, it’s really simple. Drink a cup of strong coffee or black tea. There you will get a lot of caffeine which will help the blood flow and give you a slight kick for that energy. It will also stimulate your nervous system and prepare you. You can even tell yourself that its’ special with some supplement in it and you suddenly become a beast. But save your money on legal PWO:s as they are just after you to make money off you.

Coffee prior to a gym session is an excellent idea.

Records shattered

November 26, 2012

Today was a good gym day. I managed to break my record for bench press and I will continue to aim high. In fact, it looks like I am shattering all my previous records when I was heavier. This, of course, makes me a happy panda.

My motivation is as steady as a rock and I am using an entirely new schedule compared to the previous two years that I have been working out and I am instantly seeing fascinating progress and results. I can’t wait till Summer 2013.

Get ready to see me going to tons of pool parties in Vegas next year. Yeeeah buddy!
